Melissa began her writing journey as a young poet before transitioning to storytelling. Her works tend to fall into the speculative fiction category and she has a particular soft spot for middle grade contemporary with a dash of fantasy. She lives with her husband, rescue pups, and two sons in WNY where the Buffalo Bills have her heart, and fosters dogs when she’s able.
